We attended the Hartford (CT) Pet Expo on October 25, 2009 to represent Portuguese pointers
and the Portuguese Pointer Club of America in their AKC Showcase of Breeds. As with our
previous meet-the-breeds events, the Portuguese pointers were a crowd favorite. Many thanks to
all who were so complimentary of the breed. It was great being able to share our love of the breed.
We were joined by the Stowell family with their beautiful new Portuguese pointer pup from Canil do
Berço do Basalto in the Azores. Azore was a big hit with his fantastic outgoing personality. That's
all pretty impressive seeing how this little guy had only been in the US all of five days!
