C Litter
This was our first litter of Portuguese pointers.  Their names commemorate towns in the Ribatejo
region of Portugal where Jack's family still lives.  As 2007 is the "C" year for naming Lusitano horses,
we felt it appropriate to also choose names for our Portuguese dogs beginning with this letter.

We kept all three of the puppies in this litter.  It has been an invaluable learning experience for us to
see them develop.  The puppies have been
 DNA-tested, microchipped, Penn-HIP evaluated,  OFA
preliminary hip x-rays, OFA thyroid tested,
CERF eye tested and color genotyped.  As such, all of this
litter is now certified with the Canine Health Information Center (
CHIC).  They've all been shown and
had their UKC conformation championships by 10 months of age, with Chamusca earning her UKC
Grand Championship at one year of age - on her birthday!  We're proud to announce that all three
girls in this litter now have their UKC Grand Championships!  All are started on birds and are being
run in
AKC hunt tests.  Cadaval earned her AKC Junior Hunter title at 11 months of age finishing with
perfect scores!
